Jiajing Yang


Jiajing Yang is a Masters student in the Architecture Department of University College Dublin. She graduated with a 2.1 honors degree from XLArch Architecture Department at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in July 2014. She gained a National Encouragement Scholarship twice during her Bachelor studies. She also attended some competitions, for example, she won the Nai zhen’ prize in Taiwan IDEERS earthquake competition in the summer of 2012. She is specifically interested in the complex cultural and social contexts that inform architectural propositions, and in the possibilities of drawing as a tool to create new relationships between space, form and function. Her final design was exhibited as a representative of XLArch in The Venice Biennale 2014. She completed a three-month Internship in Suzhou Sencheng Architecture design Co. , Ltd. She also loves to participate in voluntary work. She was a volunteer at the Master Planning the Future Conference in Suzhou, China.
